recruit and develop talent." -- Baseball America, June 2007
Jayson King will enter his 13th season as head coach of the Franklin Pierce University baseball program in 2011.
In a short period of time, King has turned a struggling program into a contender not only in the Northeast-10 Conference, but on
a regional and national level as well. His hard work has culminated with six NCAA Tournament berths in the last seven years,
five NCAA Regional titles and two ECAC Division II Championships. Franklin Pierce captured both the Northeast-10 regular-

Mike Chambers finished his first season as an Assistant Coach with the Franklin
Pierce University baseball program in 2011.
Chambers makes his first stop on the collegiate coaching circuit with the Ravens after laying claim to
two NCAA Regional titles (2003, 2006) as a player under Head Coach Jayson King. Chambers has two
years of amateur coaching experience, mostly with the Northeast Hurricanes' U14 and U15 AAU
squads. He led the U14 team to a division title and a silver medal at the NEAAU Championship.
Chambers, who played in Rindge from 2003 through 2006, put together one of the most prolific
offensive careers in school history. Four years after gruduating, he is still the program's all-time leader
in doubles (70). Chambers also ranks among the top 10 players in school history in games played
(199), hits (238), runs scored (152), home runs (23) and runs batted in (139).
His 2006 senior season set a program record that still stands, with 26 doubles. Chambers also scored
61 runs in his senior campaign, which currently ranks third in school history.

Tom Cote enters his first season as an assistant Coach with the Franklin Pierce
University baseball program in 2011. He will
also serve as Assistant Coach of the Ravens junior varsity baseball team.
This is Cote's first collegiate coaching stop after being a part of two NCAA Regional-winning teams
(2007, 2008) on the field
under Head Coach Jayson King. Cote earned his first coaching experience in the summer of 2010 with
the Keene Swamp Bats
of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
After spending his freshman season at the University of Massachusetts, Cote was a standout on the
mound for three years in
Rindge (2007-09). He capped off his career with a stellar senior campaign in 2009, in which he
recieved an All-America Second
Team selection from Daktronics, in addition to All-East Region selections from the ABCA, Daktronics,
the NCBWA.
Cote is one of only five pitchers in school history to win 20 games in his career, and also ranks in the
top 10 in program history
in career earned-run average (2.42), strikeouts (189) and innings pitched (189.1). His senior season
earned-run average of 1.94
was one of nine seasons in school history under 2.00, and his nine wins tied him for fourth-most in a
season in program annals.
